All LAMP reagents including, DNA primers, LAMP Master Mix, vine samples, positive controls and negative controls should be kept in the freezer. They should not be thawed out more than 3 times, as their efficacy will start to decrease. DI water does not need to be frozen.
Since each sample requires a clean razor, it's easy to go through them quickly. Rather than buying new ones, you can sterilize them! Collect your used razors into a bin and rinse them with soap and water. Lay them on a baking sheet and bake them at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Your razors are now sterile!
Once the templates are made (the Eppendorf tube holding the pipette tip), they can last up to 4-5 months in the freezer. It is not recommended to keep them longer as the small amount of water in the tubes can condense at the top, potentially skewing the results when defrosted.
